FlexLM License error with Prime Pro v22.1

Hello,

I just installed v22.1 for Linux and when I launch quartus I get the following errors:

Warning (292000): FLEXlm software error: No socket connection to license server manager. Feature: quartus_pro License path: < correct path to license server> FlexNet Licensing error:-7,10015

Quartus opens up but cannot connect to the license server and only has Cyclone 10 devices available for selection.

I also have v21.3 installed and the license works fine for that version.  The license value is set in the ALTERAD_LICENSE_FILE environment variable, so both versions are reading the same variable.

We just recently upgraded the FlexLM license server to v11.16.2 to resolve a licensing issue we were having with v21.3 which is described here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/programmable/articles/000086729.html

Thank you,

Terry

Hi

Could you help to upgrade the license daemon software to the newer version and try it.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/709649/license-daemon.html

Please stop and restart the server after upgrade. Shutdown/kill all the license service and restart server and client back from ground zero to see if it works?

You need to allow the firewall access to the port number from both server and client machine.

2) Make sure the port used by license server or vendor daemon is not blocked.

Updated the daemon software to v11.18.2 and it fixed the problem.

Thank you!
