I have tried installing the opencl extensions for visual code and eclipse. They do not work. Any suggestions from your side?

What do you mean they do not work? I use the VS Code OpenCL plugin and it highlights the syntax just fine.

I cannot real see what extension that is because of the low resolution image, but this is the one I installed: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemname=galarius.vscode-opencl

Don't forget to reload your VS Code client after installation. I have VS Code 1.23.0 btw. And the plugin version 0.2.1
