Hello,

I am following the Using PCIE on DE4 board tutorial. I ran into some issues when trying to generate files in Qsys. Here are the errors it is complaining about.

Info: altgx_internal: qmegawiz -silent module=alt4gxb LOCKDOWN_EXCL=PCIE IP_MODE=PCIE_HIP_8 gxb_analog_power=AUTO tx_analog_power=AUTO elec_idle_infer_enable=false tx_allow_polarity_inversion=false rx_cdrctrl_enable=true hip_tx_clkout rx_elecidleinfersel fixedclk rx_signaldetect rateswitchbaseclock tx_pipemargin tx_pipedeemph rateswitch reconfig_dprio_mode=1 reconfig_clk reconfig_fromgxb reconfig_togxb enable_0ppm=false pll_powerdown intended_device_family=stratixiv starting_channel_number=0 deviceFamily="Stratix IV" wiz_subprotocol="Gen 1-x4" OPTIONAL_FILES=NONE qsys_system_pcie_hard_ip_0_altgx_internal.v Error: altgx_internal: Stderr: Qt: Session management error: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported while executing "exec qmegawiz -silent module=$modulename $family_params $cbx_params OPTIONAL_FILES=NONE $output_file " Error: altgx_internal: Generation callback did not provide a top level file. It seems the problem begins when calling megawiz. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a fix?

Hi nelmak,

I'm having the same problem here with Quartus 12.0sp1 64bits.

Using Quartus 32 bits the Qsys generation went through fine one time only.

I 've try to delete the qsys generated files before generation but it did not work either.

The error disappear if I change the device for a Cyclone IV GX in Qsys.

I will install 12.0SP2 and try again.
