Pin assignments

Honored Contributor II

Hello, Im new to the quartus software and VHDL language so apologies if i am posting in the wrong place.

I am trying to assign pins on the max plus ii software, but having no luck. When the pin planner is brought up, it shows my inputs and outputs but cannot assign pins.

How do i assign them, if not through pin planner as i am struggling to use the assignment editor.

I presume you mean the Quartus software, not MAX Plus II, which is ancient.

In any case, in the Pin Planner, just drag and drop signals from the All Pins list on the bottom to locations in the package view. You can also click in the Location column in the All Pins list and select a location from a pop-up list.
