Problem in pin assignment

Hi,

I m new with Quartus and I have project with CycloneIII.

The problem is when I try to connect the SSRAM it seems that not all pins indicated in the reference manual are assignable (eg: in the manual FPGA pin's A16 must be connected to sram A[2] but in the assignment this pin A16 is unavailable because it's dedicated to VCCIO7).

What can I do to connect the SSRAM?

Thanks.

Maybe the Manual refers to pin A16 of a different type of FPGA ?

check under device settings in Quartus that this pin is not a dual purpose pin and assigned to the VCCIO rather then regular I/O

Don't rely on the manual for pin assignments, Altera usually makes errors in those. Look at the board schematics instead.

be sure to file an SR and let Altera know about incorrect manuals. and also look at the Golden Top file which should have correct pin assignments done for you.
