Quartus 7.2 not detecting USB blaster from windows 7 !!

can you please help me out.. 

 My USB Blaster is not shown in programmer window I'm using Quartus 7.2 DE2 kit OS : windows-7 32 bit..  I installed the driver from drivers/usb-blaster of quartus folder whenever i plugin usb, device manager shows as Altera USB Blaster, and when I UPDATE Driver software it says device is up to date !!!! everything looks fine... but my programmer does not recognize usb blaster... I tried every single options running programmer in windows 7 compatability mode.... ....installing even 13.1 quartus...but no luck...  Thank you.

quartus 7, is it release in 2007? the win7 first heard release on some thing in 2009... But when you reinstall the 13.1 did you completely uninstall the old 7.2 include delete the folders?

I believe the QII 7.2 does not support Win7 OS. You can double check on the QII 7.2 release note on the supported OS or check Altera web on this.

yes.. I've uninstalled everything of Q7.2. then for 13.1 is saying that "Device support not installed " !!!!

this is bad experience. Okay let continue with 13.1

Cyclone 2 is only supported up to Quartus 13.0sp1 

13.1 does not support cyclone 2  http://dl.altera.com/devices/

I don't get out of this problem.... :cry:  one of my friend has installed same Q7.2 on win 7-32 bit.. and his programmer is recognizing usb blaster easily, without any settings and support..!!!!  This is dangerous for my laptop....:cry: please help me.. as I have cyclone 2 only.

Hi, 

 please do the following: Start -> Devices and Printers. Do you see the USB-Blaster under the Unspecified section?
