Quartus II-Byte Blaster Upgrade

Hello, 

We are currently upgrading from Win2K to Win7. We had been using Quartus II Programming application with ByteBlaster (parallel port). We believe the USB-Blaster will work but are not sure which version of Quartus to use. Which software product/version should we use?  Thanks in advance Tim

It depends on which chips you are using.

Unfortunately it is not currently availabel at Altera's website. You may have to contact their FAE for more information.

Actually the USB Blaster II is available from Altera. Please refer to the following link: https://www.buyaltera.com/partdetail?partid=5638362. It shows p/n PL-USB2-BLASTER 225.00 quantity available of 263. My concern is which version of Quartus software will we need to utilize the PL-USB2-BLASTER as we used the older parallel port Byte Blaster.
