Quartus Screen Corruption Bug

I have the following screen corruption bug in Quartus II (10.0 and 10.1). Searches aren't showing up other people having the same problem but it is a difficult one to search on so was wondering if anybody else has seen this problem?

When I first start up Quartus and have one (and only one) file open for editting, a block in the top left hand corner doesn't get updated. In the picture below, the area that's faulty I've surrounded with red dots.

When I scroll the text in the window, this box stays static (it contains the top of the file) whilst the rest of the window scrolls as it should.

A work around that cures this for me is to open two files up. Once the second file is opened, the problem goes even if I shut the second file, and doesn't reappear until I restart Quartus.

I am a little bit suspicious of my graphics card so that may be the cause, especially if nobody else is seeing the same issue.

I also have a graphics bug, I think the same as yours. So you are not alone;)

I have seen the same in 10.1 (and 10.0)

- rectangle leftovers

- search dialog box now and then starts 'big'

- the F3 key doesn't work while the search dialog is open

- you have to be careful in the pin planner, don't do any typo's because you can not correct it, and be patient when it crashes when you delete an imported megafunction (i.o.w. start all over ...)

Now the GUI in 9.1 wasn't exactly 'broken', but they 'fixed' it anyway ... and (here's my rant again) dropped a few nice things on the way to ... ?

There was already another thread regarding this, someone pointed out that the "ads" on the Quartus-background are the cause of this.

My experience has been that if I close all the document windows (for example, select "Close All" from the "Window" menu) and then reopen them, the problem goes away until the next time I restart Quartus.

I was a little surprised to still have the same problem in 10.0 sp1 and then even more surprised to still see it in 10.1.

Reminds me of that joke of the two engineers, a Windows programmer and the broken down car ...
