Hi,
So, Quartus 22.2 doesn't officially support Windows 11.
But to get the best from Intel 12th Gen processors (which have a mix of P & E cores) requires the 'Thread Director' which is only in Windows 11.
I'm trying Quartus 22.2 on an i9-12900k, and it does seem to occasionally use E (Efficiency) cores by mistake - since these are quite slow.
In fact, running two compilations at once appears to sometimes push the 2nd compile almost solely into E cores, making it really slow.
I'm sure this will be resolved over time, but would appreciate any suggestions / thoughts.
Thanks,
Richard

I would expect that once Quartus is (officially) supported by Intel on Windows 11 that would be addressed.
The caveat is Quartus is not yet officially supported on Windows 11, so running into issues like this is not unexpected.
Best advice is use Windows 10 for now.

Hi,
Windows 11 is not yet officially supported. Check the OS Support list:
Let me know if you have any further concern or consideration.
