Dear Intel Support,
I'm experiencing a severe graphical issue in Quartus Prime Pro 23.4 related to Signal Tap.
When I open Signal Tap and click on “Add Node”, the window that appears has an extremely large horizontal size (over 16,000 pixels) and is not usable.
The window can only be resized vertically, not horizontally.
I cannot interact properly with the interface.
On high-resolution displays, it appears off-screen or entirely disproportionate.
This issue does not occur in Quartus Prime Standard Edition, which I have also installed on the same machine.
System Information:
Quartus Version: Prime Pro 23.4 (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Monitor Resolution: (1920x1080)
DPI Scaling: (100%)
Graphics Card: (intel HD Graphics 530)
I’ve been working on this project for several weeks and it has always worked fine.
If it helps, I started experiencing the issue after using Eclipse for NIOS II development and closing Quartus with the “Add Node” window still open,
along with the Eclipse window.
I can’t say whether it was just a coincidence or if it’s actually relevant.
Is this a known issue in version 23.4?
Are there any official workarounds or a planned fix in a future release (e.g., 24.x)?
This problem severely impacts usability and workflow when using Signal Tap.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Antonio Morelli

Very odd. What happens if you change the display resolution while the messed up Node Finder window is open?
Is the Node Finder messed up if you access it from the Assignment Editor instead of Signal Tap?
Worst case: uninstall and reinstall Quartus.

Hi,
I thin you mean the node finder window. Could you right-click and drag that window. Then resize the horizontal line.
Thanks,

Hi,
Another thing is try to close the Quartus and relaunch it so that it fit to the recent resolution.
Thanks,

Sheng
