Why is the option to "Use differential mode" greyed-out in the ALTIOBUF IP core?

According to AN 522, differential mode is supported in Cyclone III devices. I am using Quartus 9.1 and cannot upgrade.

Hi SLuon2,

ALTIOBUF IP core is not supported Cyclone III.

You may refer to ALTIOBUF IP user guide below for supported devices:
