VGA TO DVI

Hi,

I have a VGA monitor and a DVI MB(INTEL DG45ID) which needs to be connected. I have connected the VGA cable from the monitor to a converter to DVI port in MB but I get no display. Are there any settings I need to do to use VGA monitor. I am using windows 7 and have latest bios drivers as well.
