Does toggling rs400 advanced mode initiate hardware_reset?

I've noticed that toggling advanced mode disconnects the camera and resets parameters to default. So if I want to hardware_reset the camera at the beginning of the software execution, and then toggle advanced mode on; the hardware_reset call is redundant and the camera will reset regardless of its state?

The discussion in the link below provides confirmation that the camera resets when Advanced Mode is toggled off without having to add a hardware_reset instruction afterward.
