vSLAM outdoors with D435 / D435i ?

Hello,

Have anyone tried to SLAM outdoor environments with the D435? And if so, does it work properly despite of brightness and weather changes?

SLAM has been used successfully with D435i, though I am not aware of a case of it being used outdoors.

In general, the 400 Series cameras perform well outdoors, and I know of a couple of instances where the D435 has been used on flying drones.

The 400 Series also actually performs better in strong light, unlike other depth cameras. Page 28 of Intel's camera tuning guide has advice about use in sunlight.
