Drivers Support for Intel® NUC 9 Extreme Laptop Kit - LAPQC71B

Hello everyone. I've recently acquired a laptop whose model is mentioned in the subject. Everything was swimming fine until I installed Windows 10 (didn't want to use 11), and found out that Intel has removed the drivers section altogether from their website. The download center application only provides drivers for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the NVIDIA GPU.

So, where do I get the rest of the drivers from?

P.S., I show the current location as there was nowhere else relevant.

Yea, Intel discontinued the QC laptop kits and, as they often do (to thoroughly abandon their customers), yanked all of the QC-specific drivers.

So, I have a share that includes the set of drivers that I have in my archive for QC. They may not be the latest in all cases (I've tried to keep it up to date), but it should be a good starting point. Here is the link: LAPQC71x Drivers. The letter(s) at the beginning of the subfolder names indicate which versions of the laptop are pertinent. In your case, you want all subfolders that have a 'B' (as in LAPQC71B).

Now, this driver set didn't include Graphics, WiFi or Bluetooth; you should use the latest available for these. As of today, latest are:

Remember always install the Chipset driver package first (followed by a reboot before installing anything else).

Hope this helps,

Maybe.  What is the complete bios string?  QCCFL357?

What bios version do you have?

When you boot the laptop, enter the bios using F2.  Provide a photo of that screen.

Sorry, but the bios file in this thread will not work with your laptop.

I looked at the Maingear  site.  It is a shame they do not provide the bios.

Intel dropped support for these products like a hot potato, and removed all support files.  They did the same thing with the Intel NUCs, which are supported by ASUS now.  Many/most of the documentation and support files/drivers on desktop, NUC, laptops, older processors, etcv. have been removed, which, in  my opinion, is a slap in the face to those customers who own/use this equipment.

They will use the "for security reasons" response when asked why.  For customers using their ARC product, I would be very concerned about support going forward, considering Intel's past "support" position.

Enough of my morning soapbox.

I find it very strange that there is absolutely no support for these from intel. And look at what AMD did with AM4. It's crazy to think that u by a product 5 years ago for almost $2000 with absolutely no support
