How is the HP Z840 able to add 1TB of RAM

Hi Carlisle1500,

The Hewlett Packard Z840 Workstation supports Intel® Xeon® Processors E5-2600 v3 series. The motherboard of this computer supports up to 2 processors, this is the reason the HP Z840 is capable to handle 1TB of RAM.
