Sir,
I had purchased an Intel DX58SO motherboard alongwith an Intel i7 920 processor and Intel CPU cooler a while back. I purchased all the 3 items together. Lately, I have been experiencing difficulties with my motherboard and processor. When I contacted Intel Customer Support in INDIA, they informed me that the motherboard is in warranty and will be replaced. However, they denied replacement of the processor stating that it is "OUT OF WARRANTY"; I have personally contacted them both by phone as well as e-mail but they have so far not given me a positive response. I have even talked to the Intel Customer Support Engineer of Asia Pacific region but to no avail.
Please could someone help me regarding this issue. I fail to comprehend that why is such a discrepancy occurring when I purchased all the 3 products at the same time.
Awaiting a speedy response.Thank you.

Hello Karun,
Please note that there are several reasons why the warranty may have been refused on your processor. Intel processors have three years warranty from the moment that you purchase the product. Based on the warranty terms and conditions, physical damage caused by the user or an external source will not be covered under the warranty.
At the moment we do not have the details of the rejection; however, if the product does not have damage and it is under the warranty, just by providing the proof of purchase in the corresponding support area, you should have it replaced.
Dear Kevin,
Thank you for your reply. I am sorry I have misplaced my proof of purchase. I have also informed this to the Intel authorities in my region and owing to this, they have refused to help me until and unless it is provided. I have however, lost it and am unable to find it.

Hello Karun,
I'm really sorry for that inconvenience. At the moment, what I can do for you is to validate the markings of the processor from our side and confirm if it is still under warranty or not.
Please include the markings of the processor. You may access the following link in order to know where you can get the markings of the processor:

Hello Karun,
Based on the information provided, our system shows that the processor is out of warranty. If the product was purchased less than 3 years ago, the only way to validate the warranty will be by providing the proof of purchase (POP).
If you do not have the POP, perhaps you may get a copy from the place of purchase.
Hello Karun,
I apologize for the inconvenience you are having with the Intel Product. I recommend you to run the Processor Diagnostic Tool. This software will test the processor and if there is something damage inside the processor it will show it on the results.
You can get the Processor Diagnostic Tool in the following link:
