Secure Boot support desktop board DG43NB

On a machine with Intel desktop board DG43NB (launched 2008 Q3, so somewhat older but it still works fine), in the BIOS menu there seems no option to enable Secure Boot.

After booting Windows in BIOS mode UEFI, the System Information screen shows Secure Boot State not supported.

Besides, BIOS version: NBG4310H.86A.0107.2011.0112.1625 (12-1-2011) and SMBIOS version: 2.4. At Intel's website I am unable to find the latest BIOS version, but theretroweb.com has this version as the latest version.

In Linux, mokutil --sb-state outputs 'EFI variables are not supported on this system'.

Does this mean that while desktop board DB43NB does support UEFI, it does not support Secure Boot?

I believe that is correct; Secure Boot, as a feature, did not arrived on the scene until 2012 (with Windows 8),  and the board would have been discontinued by that point.
Hope this helps,

Thank you for your answer! Too bad no firmware upgrade with support for Secure Boot has been released.
