Hello,
I have totally no idea if this is the correct board for my problem. if it's not, please move my post to the right one, or tell me where I need to post this.
the problem:
the DSA auto update process is really annoying, because it downloads a file named idsaupdate********.exe containing 8 random chars at the end, which tries to open an outgoing connection, when the file gets executed.
I use Windows Firewall Control by Malwarebytes to control every outgoing connection manually and set a firewall rule.
of course I would usually just allow it and all is working fine, like it does with every other software on my PC.
but since the updater changes the filename & ports nonstop after if it failed, I can't add a valid firewall rule, because they are instantly outdated.
to get it properly updated I need to disable the outgoing filtering and just let any .exe pass.
or download the newest setup from Intel page and update manually.
I don't know any other software which behaves like this and this is really annoying.
any hints to solve this would be very appreciated!
(uninstalling WFC is no valid option)
thnx
best regards

Uninstall the "Intel Computing Improvement Program" (Settings>Apps>Installed apps).
Disable the IDSA to start automatically with Windows start.
