Hi community!
I develop a nios system in SOPC. The memory part is including SDRAM, SRAM, FLASH. When i want to download the program into the fpga using NIOS Flash Programmer, the IDE says that i should "select a target board for this system in SOPC builder before programming flash". Now i am totally confused. And i have some questions. First, how can i develop a target board? I am now using DE2 board. May i have some step-by-step Tutorial? Second, i have some experience in ARM embedded system. In ARM system, i need to write the INITIAL CODE by myself. The situation seems different in developing NIOS. For example, now i suppose the code is stored in the FLASH. After i turn on the power, will the FPGA copy the code into RAM automatic? And, where will the code located exactly in the RAM? (I mean, the SRAM or the SDRAM? And which address will the code located?) I know these are too many questions. But i really want a detailed answer. Thanks a lot. http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gifLink Copied
