Increasing GDB comms timeout

Hi,

I'm trying to debug an intermittent lockup in some software running on NIOS-II. If I run the software in the debug mode of NIOS-II IDE, it works and I can break into the software at any time.

However, if I leave it running more than about 30s or so, when I click the pause button in the debug view, I get a "Watchdog timeout" error from GDB and the software continues running.

How can I increase this timeout? I tried increasing the "Window->Preferences->C/C++->Debug->GBM MI->Debugger Timeout" value to 14400000 (4 hours), but this made no difference.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Pete
