Hi, i have a strange problem.
Wenn starting the pc, it takes 5min until the POST screen is shown.
during this time, the screen is blank and the system does not respond to any keys (to enter bios).
when the 5min are over, the pc starts quickly without any problems and the system is stable.
this problem startet about 1 year after the pc was made for no obvios reason. no hardware was replaced, no bios updates
just out of nothing
i post this in the cpu-section because i blame the cpu for it.
i already replaced the mainboard and the memory. problem persists.
orig specs:
intel core i5-8600k
msi z370m mortar
g.skill aegis ddr4-3000 16gb
new specs:
intel core i5-8600k
ASRock B365M Pro4
g.skill tridentz ddr4-3000 32gb
i did some torture testing. everything is stable.
once the system is up, everything works fine.
but waiting 5min everytime i start the pc is no fun
i checked the pins of the cpu, looks healthy.
i reset the bios, tried to change settings ... no difference
any ideas?

Do you have a DVD/CD drive installed? Unplug it and try the boot again.

i don't think the mainboard is the problem since the same problem occurs with the ASRock B365M Pro4

Ok. How many other boards have you tried? All with the exact same processor and components?
What do you think the problem is?
