Hello gnfgndgheth,
I understand you would like to know if the Intel® Xeon® Processor D Family are suitable for video editing.
I will be more than glad to assist you with this inquiry.
Bear in mind that the Intel® Xeon® Processor D Family do not come with a graphics controller so it will be required to install a discrete video card. In this case the video processing is going to be done by the discrete video card only.
Let me know if you have or not any other inquiry.
Regards,
Fred D.

So if I put a 16-core Intel xeon D cpu family and insert a GTX 1070 or 1080 video card from Nvidia or AMD will work great.
I understand, thank you for the answer.
