Problem logging into the site

Unsure of where to post this so based on another post along a similar vein being in this forum, i chose here.

let me preface this by saying I'm assuming this has something to do with the homogonous/unified login intel uses.

if I log in here for example https://softwareoffer.intel.com/
it will work fine, the end result being a 2FA to my phone which seems unable to be removed or changed to any kind of OTP.   Also seems i cannot change my email but thats neither here nor there.

if i change websites after logging in at the aforementioned to here https://community.intel.com/
i'm automagically logged in.  yay right?

The problem begins if i try to log in here directly without going to the aforementioned site and logging in first.   I cant.  It will present me with this error upon entering my email

The claims exchange 'REST-EmailIsFederated' specified in step '3' returned HTTP error response with Code 'InternalServerError' and Reason 'Internal Server Error'.

If i ignore it and press again to submit the email anyways, it seems to progress at which point it asks for my password.

thats where I hit a dead stop.  It tell's me my password is incorrect.   Weird considering I can use it on the other site just fine resulting in a log in here.

So Im forced to get the single-use code to log in.  I'm unsure if its some kind of intel site issue, some kind of account issue specific to me or what.  Either way would love a resolution.

Here is another individual with a similar issue it appears https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Problem-after-waking-from-suspend-on-linux/m-p/1464436/highlight/true

Unfortunately I cant delete this post.  turns out that the first error happens due to 1Password autofilling the email (presumably).   As such my password failing on the second i tested removing it and copy/pasting it instead of having it autofilled and it went through as well.

so its some interaction between the website and 1password.  with which side the fault lay, no idea.  hopefully this will help someone in the future.

only thing I find odd is the first site using the same unified login has 2FA (even if it is annoying insecure text based 2FA) and this site when logged into directly, does not.

Hello klepp0906,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand you were having issues logging into some Intel websites.

Since you were able to fix this issue, I will proceed to close this thread, however, you can open a new one in case you need further support or if you face any issues with our products.
