I have a business case with a customer , he received Dell desktop All in One 5270 with processor mentioned above , he wants to confirm that this is the right processor he received and approved by Intel, he negotiated that he should receive i7 9700 8 cores/ 12MB/8T/ up to 4.9 although the only one with this description is i7 9700K.

Appreciate a confirmation letter from Intel to close this case as per his request. It`s top urgent case so we need this letter confirmation before end of today.

BR,

There are seven versions of the i7-9700: Here are two (i7-9700 and i7-9700K). not including the TE, E, T, F, and KF.

You and your customer need to take your discussion to Dell.

A letter? For what? You can compare the two processors speeds in the link I provided.

Also, this is a weekend, on a technical support forum. Your issue sounds more like a legal issue, which we do not get involved in on this forum.

You and your customer have the link I provided to compare the two processors.

You need to ask Dell what processors THEIR device supports, not intel. If Dell built their device with the i7-9700, then that is what DELL DID.

What the Dell device can be ordered with is something that YOU and YOUR CUSTOMER have to ask DELL about.

This issue is NOT AN INTEL ISSUE. IT IS AN ISSUE BETWEEN YOU, YOUR CUSTOMER, AND DELL ONLY.

And, you can edit / remove all of the information following "best regards" in your post above as it is not allowed. If you do not, I will flag your post.

One additional comment. Let us say, for sake of discussion, that the DELL BIOS allowed you to use either the i7-9700 or i7-9700K. Good, right? No. Look at the Power requiired for the i7-9700K, and the heat generated.

The Dell device may not be capable of supplying adequate power for the K, and may not be able to provide adequate cooling for the K. So, you are looking at design and integration issues that ONLY DELL can answer.
