For the Gold Xeon Processor 6442Y, how can we go about accessing the SMBus MCH Data, Command and Status Registers for Sapphire Rapids? Would like to enable bits in these registers and was wondering :
1. Are these registers still located at 0x80, 84, 88 like Icelake and Skylake generation?
2. What SMB bits can we enable for writing in these registers?
3. Does the Volume Management Driver introduced in this new generation play a part in accessing devices on the SMBus?
4. How to write to these or fetch permissions to write to these?
5. Can we use the SMBus to fetch all 1024 bytes of memory information from the SPDs on DIMMs attached on the Motherboard?

Hello, avibharadwaj.
Thank you for posting on the Intel Community Support forum.
I received your thread regarding these particular Xeon-related questions, and I will be reviewing this with you.
Please let me know the following:
1. Is this the usual channel you use to request this type of information?
2. Do you have access to Intel Premier Support (IPS) or the Resource and documentation center (RDC)?
3. Does your company have an active NDA with Intel? (just yes or no, do not share any details yet).
I will follow up on august 17th just in case you need additional time.
Regards,
Bruce C.

1. Yes. We do use this channel.
2. I particularly don't have access but other team members do have access to RDC/IPS access.
3. We do have a NDA but we may need a new one and we would like to know how to go about with this process.
