Hello All,
I would like to know the list of supported pairs for a processor from Xeon V3 family in a dual / quad configuration.
For example, can i put a 2680 V3 and 2670 V3 in the same motherboard.
I know that the higher clocked processor would automatically be under clocked to ensure both run at same speed.. but not sure.
I found some information on net, however its related to Xeon V2 family and it might not apply for V3 as there are significant architectural changes in V3.
Thank you.

Hello Gemi,
In regard to your concern, I would like to confirm the specific model of your processor?
Also, the model of the motherboard that you would like to use?
I am looking forward to heard from you.
Regards,
Angie

Hello Gemi,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Based on the information provided, at the Intel document the list that you have found it is related to the compatible families. Even though those are not the specific supported processors.
I can tell you this due to, there is not a specific confirmation that these processors are compatibles with the chipset (Intel® C612 chipset) for your Motherboard: Supermicro X10 DRL-i
So then, at this moment my recommendation, in order for you to get the proper compatible processors list, you will need to contact Supermicro and they will provide you with most accurate information that will help you to avoid any harm to your current board.
You can find the support contact for Supermicro at the following link:
https://www.supermicro.com/support/index.cfm https://www.supermicro.com/support/index.cfm
Hope I can hear from you soon.
Regards,
Angie
