Cyclone 10lp FPGA not programming through Flash chip (EPCQ64A ), but programs ok through JTAG(.sof)

Hi,

We have developed a cyclone 10 Lp FPGA (10cl016Y) board, the Schematic is shown below

The FPGA chip programs good through JTAG using .sof file, but if the Flash chip is programmed using .jic file, the FPGA does not program.

I have measured the interface signals on oscilloscope, NStatus, Config_done, Flash_NCE, DATA0 and DCLK

Can you please suggest what could be the issue?

Any feedback will be helpful.

Thank you

Best Regards

Mohsin

Hi MSheh4,

Could you kindly confirm what type of configuration scheme you are using? Also, please ensure that the MSEL pin is set according to your desired configuration scheme. You may refer to the following user guide for more details:

Intel® Cyclone® 10 LP Core Fabric and General Purpose I/O Configuration Guide

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Fakhrul

Hi Fakhrul,

            Thank you for your reply.

We are using the Active serial configuration, I have verified the MSEL pins and these are set (010) according to the configuration guide.
