DE1 Board unable to "auto detect" (no hardware)

Hello to everyone,

I've been using the DE1-cycloneV for two years at university. I bought one for me now but there is something which worries me: the board makes constant noises i didn't hear before. For example, at the startup flashing routine it periodically makes these noises whenever 7-segments/leds blink.

Anyone has an idea on what could it be? Thanks.

Hi,

May be because of the program which is loaded by flash / power issues.

1.Erases the flash memory and load new program check.

2.Check the hardware and setup side(power circuitry components).

1.By erasing the flash you mean just loading something right? I did it (a single led single switch) but a noise (less than before) is still there. However when I switch off/on all the noises come with the flashing startup. It's like the noise is bounded to the number of elements being used (all the leds/segments at the start).

2.I'm using the box cables plus an adapter for us/eu (it cannot be that, it's a power plug!)
