DE2 Board HEX display fail to function

Hi all, there's something wrong with my de2 board.. when i push the power button, i got all lights flashing except HEX6, the most bottom segment is not functioning. It happened when I was working with it since a few hours ago.. Is this a defect? fyi, I haven't use it enough to justify the money I spent on this board.. :( anyone encountered this problem? does factory restore help?:cry::cry:

Did you burn any program onto the FPGA chip? If you did, then this phenomenon may be normal. You can use the DE2_115_ControlPanel tool inside the accompanying CDROM to manipulate the HEX by yourself, so that you can verify it is working or not.
