The following document written by Altera can help you "Altera Quartus II Software v10.0 — Subscription Edition vs. Web Edition".

Because of the site policy I can not write the web link directly, so you should use your search engine...

Best regards,

Martin

Thanks for the link.

So, i was reading aobut and i conclude that i will use free, cause the price of license are about 3000 dolars, and this is so expensive!!

But, if i use web edition, i can program with usb??

Do you think that i am doing a good choice?

thanks:D

It depends on device families you will use mainly. Therefore you should check if the Device Support section contains your desired devices.

It is possible to generate programming files (pof, sof, jam, svf) and to program them into devices of course. Another difference is the list of supported operating systems that you can see in the mentioned pdf file.
