Driver for USB Blaster on Arria10 SOC DevKit will not load on Windows 10

Hi all,

I am trying to load a SOF file into the Arria 10 SOC Development Kit using the USB Blaster II which is included on the board. I am a Hardware Developer, so I am trying to do this using the Quartus Programming Tools.

When I link the PC to the DevKit I get an "Unknown Device" in the Device Manager. But when I try to install the driver using the Drivers in the Quartus installation I always get a message that says that there has been a problem installing the driver for Altera USB Blaster II (unconfigured).

I have tried on my Workstation and my Laptop, using Versions 18.0, 19.4 and 20.4. And I have also rebooted, just to be sure.

Any suggestions?

Marc

I retested and got it installed with the 18.0 version.

Could it be that the USB blaster on the Arria 10 dev kit does not work with versions >18.x?
