Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to program the "Cyclone V E Development Kit" using the EPCQ256 memory? I tried converting my .sof file to .jic in Quartus, but when I attempt to program the board, I get error 209025. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Error (209025): Can't recognize silicon ID for device 1. A device's silicon ID is different from its JTAG ID. Verify that all cables are securely connected, select a different device, or check the power on the target system. Make sure the device pins are connected and configured correctly.

Hi,
A few things to clarify:
- Physically verify the flash device installed on your board. The part number (e.g., EPCQ256, EPCS128) should be printed directly on the chip.
- In Quartus Programmer, use “Auto Detect” to see which devices are recognized on the JTAG chain.
- How you convert to the .jic file? When converting your .sof to .jic, be sure to select the exact flash device that matches the part number on your board.
- Ensure your board is properly powered and all JTAG connections are secure.
- Use a supported version of Quartus (13.1 or newer) when working with EPCQ256.
