hello.
this is the closest board and label availabale for the our question, apolegies that it doesnt much completely.
my company uses the cyclone 3 family EP3C55U484I7 and EP3C55U484C6 in many of our products.
currently we have extreme difficulties finding units to buy.
we cheked and there is no end of life or even not recommended for new design warning for them.
what is the current status of those part numbers? is this a temporary supply shortage and if so when it is expected to be resolved or has production stopped with no warning?
the site support seems clear that production is not stopped and indeed the support for cyclone 3 has this message at the top which seems to indicate a continued ommitment to not stop producation for the next decade :
"Intel is committed to support long life cycle for its FPGA product families, with the legacy devices at 15 years or more since introduction. Now, our customers will be even more assured as we announce the life cycle extension for all product families to at least 2035*. With extended product longevity that mitigates risk of obsolescence and minimizes cost of redesigns, customers will have a peace of mind design-in our products."
would appreciate a prompt response so we can plan accordingly.
