Hi,

I am currently working on the project which it needs high speed data transfer over ethernet Stack. however, the platform which we have is pin restricted platform and we can't use normal Ethernet controllers. currently we are using SPI interface to communicate with Ethernet controller and achieved the download speed of 1MB/s and we can speed it up to 4 MB/S until other modules become bottleneck. I just wanted to know is there any ethernet controller available on the market using SATA interface? i tried google and it was no luck. if yes, can you please share your experience if you used it.

greatly appreciate your feedbacks on that.

Regards,

Aidin.

I don't think such a component exists. There is probably no protocol to transport Ethernet over SATA anyway.

To use as little pins as possible, you should look into SGMII.
