How to disable "Device automatically loads secondary image" for MAX 10 FPGA

Hi sir,

  I am using MAX10 FPGA to design my product. In this project, the configuration mode is Dual Compressed Images and enable CONFIG_SEL pin to select which image to boot up the FPGA.

And the CONFIG_SEL pin is set to use CFM0 as initial image.

The design work well. However, the FPGA load secondary image which stores in the CFM1 when initial image fail.  How do I disable auto load secondary image when initial image fail?

  I can't enable "Configure device from CFM0 only" in the ICB because it also disable the function of CONFIG_SEL.

Please help me on this issue ASAP.

Thanks
B/R

Hi,

There is no option to disable the automatically loads secondary image. If image fail to load, it will revert back to factory image/ initial image.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Intel community.

May I know if "Device automatically loads secondary image" give any error for your project?

 I hope you notice that if error occur, it can only fallback to CFM1 once. But it will always fall back to CFM0 as CFM0 is the golden image.

Please see below;
