I am working on alternative parts solution thanks to the chip shortage. We use JAM STAPL player for remote update. I understand we can read CHIP ID to get resource info. But how do I get info to differentiate MAX 10 DCF and DAF parts through JAM STAPL player, if any?
Thanks.

If you look here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/products/fpga/max-series/max-10/support.html
the 13th entry is the MAX10 JTAG User Guide. Table 4 on pages 7-8 has the list of JTAG IDCODEs assigned per device.
These are readable via JAM STAPL access (I've done this before) ... BUT there does not seem to be unique entries for DCF vs DAF
variations of a device. Since vs dual supply is differentiated, as well as device size in cells, but not these other features.
So my first take would be you are out of luck unless someone internal to Intel can provide documentation on 'private' JTAG registers.
