I would like to know where exactly the firmware flashed by the user gets stored in Altera MAX V family CPLD since its user flash memory block is 8 Kbits only and my firmware file size is 44KB

Hi,
It is flashed in UFM, Refer the “User Flash Memory Block” from the following link, https://www.altera.com/en_us/pdfs/literature/hb/max-v/max5_handbook.pdf https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/hb/max-v/mv51007.pdf Let me know if this has helped resolve the issue you are facing or if you need any further assistance. What do you mean with "firmware file"? The configuration *.pof? It's stored in CFM.
