Power Supplies Recommended Operating Conditions for Intel MAX 10 Single Supply Devices

Hello,

What effects/problems are anticipated if we exceed the recommended Power supplies operating conditions for Intel MAX 10 Single Supply Device (10M16SCU169I7G) by few tens of milivolts, let say by +100mV ( Max. recommended supply Voltage (3.465V)  + 100mV)?

Thanking you in advance.

Hi NBK,

Since the Absolute Maximum Ratings of the Intel MAX 10 Single Supply Devices VCC is 3.9 V, 100mV exceeding the recommended operating condition 3.465 V would not affect the life of the MAX 10 devices.

However, when Supply voltage higher than the recommended value range, the performance and functions are not guaranteed. 1) The power consumption will be higher and you would need to make sure the cooling solution can deal with the heat. 2) The timing might be violated because higher voltage leads to faster speed.

Thanks & Regards,

Xiaoyan
