Hey y'all,

I am having to make changes to an old CPLD, EPM9560GC280-15. I have Maxplus II version 10.1 on our programming station, but it says that this is an illegal part. Does anyone know which version of Maxplus II I am going to have to find and install in order to support programming of EPM9560GC280?

I'm actually running into the same issue with a EPM9560RC-208 RQFP component. The MAX PLUS Software or Quartus II doesn't seem to support the MAX 9560 Series.

I tried it using the Altera PL-ASAP2 MPU, and also with the PL-APU USB version and the same result.

Have you come to a solution for this as of Yet ?

Which programming system are you using ?

Let me know. :)

I am using the PL-APU USB version, and I was able to program my part using MaxPlusII v10.23. However, the full version of v10.23 that was originally on the machine did not recognize the MAX 9560. After doing much research, I determined that there was a problem with the original install and downloaded and installed v10.23 programmer only from the Altera web site. This did the trick, and I was able to program my part.

Good luck!

Ahh Ok. Nice!

I actually installed Altera max+plus ii v9.6 and it indicated all of the component libraries during the install of the software.

It displayed the Altera classic series, max5000, max7000, max9000 and also all of the flex series... and others as well.

So this install allows users to Design for any model of the MAX9000 family. You can choose the Graphical editor, as well as the VHDL code based design option.

I was also able to Program the Device with the Master Programming Unit.

Worked out finally. :)

Cheers!
