Hello there,
has anyone succeeded in installing quartus 9.0 on Fedora 11 ? Everytime I launch quartus, it fails like this $./bin/quartus Aborted Any clue how I can fix this ?Link Copied

Working well on Ubuntu 9.04. Did you setup all the environment? Specifically, did you setup 64-bit or 32-bit version and windows manager?

If you can't get any help with this there is another option of installing VirtualBox and running CentOS 5 in a sandbox. Fedora is pretty much always on the bleeding edge so I stay one version behind on general principal :) .

haven't gotten around to Fedora 11 yet, but it worked fine on 10.

does model sim also work in ubuntu 9.04

i've been hearing more software incompatibilities with Fedora 11. it might be wise to stick with 10 for now.

maybe a single thread where people list unsupported Linux distro experiences using Quartus II and ModelSim-AE is appropriate. there are various threads with work arounds that should also be in a central locaiton.
