Hi Wani,
Thanks for reaching out.
You may refer below.
1. What is the failure symptom? Please elaborate the failure symptom in detail.
ans: This unit failed blank display at customer side and returned as OBE. The failure was due to defective carrier board 5067-5849. The PCA was returned to VJB for failure analysis. Per update from VJB, PCA failed at ICT as short at U57. VJB claimed the short is due to defective U57.
2. When did the failure happen? How did you discover the failure?
ans: This unit failed blank display at customer side
3. How did you determine the failure? Please elaborate the procedures.
ans: We test the board under ICT (in-circuit test) and found this component was short to ground on the PCA. After checking under 5DX (X-ray test), there are no solder short found underneath the component. Hence we have suspected that component may be defect due to this reject.
4. Does the failure unit ever working before failure?
ans: Yes.
OBE: out of box experience. Means the reject was found at our end customer.

Hello Amirul Akmal,
Thank you for the failure description.
During ICT test, when your team found that the U57 was short, do you get the pins detail?
Which pin was failed?
Can you fill in the Device Problem Report with as much details you have and send it back to me. If you need the form to be sent privately, please do let me know. I will start a private email.
