Hi
I have a problem in generating SD-SDI signals. I'm trying to build a SD/HD/3G transmitter by using test pattern generator(TPG), clocked video output(CVO), and triple SDI. The video standards are 720*480I and 720*576I for SD, 1280*720P and 1920*1080I for HD, and 1920*1080P for 3G. In doing so, I generate 5 TPG and 5 CVO. Signals from one of the CVO are selected and fed to triple SDI with a MUX. The signals of 1920*1080P, 1920*1080I, and 1280*720P are good. (the parameter settings in CVO for 1920*1080P and 1920*1080I are provided options; the parameter settings for 1280*720P are assigned by myself by referring to the document EIA CEA-861B ) However, the signals of SD-SDI cannot be received. About the parameter setting of TPG and CVO for 720*480I, please see my attached pictures. About my SDI transmitter, the clock is 27MHz for SD-SDI, txdata[19:10] are zero, txdata[9:0] are connected to the CVO data output. (YCYC...) What else did I forget in my design??? Could anyone have any idea? Thanks.Link Copied

Hm, afaik SD-SDI transmitter already generates a core with 10bit input, maybe You're trying to connect SD-SDI signal to HD/3G-SDI transmitter? THat should work probably, but maybe do a test?

Hi Socrates
Thank you for the reply. The SDI transmitter I generate is triple video standards. So the width of input txdata is 20-bit. In my design, I use 2-bit signal tx_std to select a video standard (SD/HD/3G) and which video signals from TPG and CVO is connected to the SDI transmitter (use a MUX).
