Me making prject on fpga de2-70.. my project apllication  

automatic detect tenis ball and tracking it...please tell me how i perform its.... 

please i need a direction how i start work.. 

can we do video processing and colour detection on de2-70?

You will need x-y-z sensor to loacte the ball then a stepper motor to follow the x-y-z. Straighforward in concept. Hard to implement. If you are thinking of fpga based design then fpga can receive sensor info and pass pulses to stepper motors.

through video processing we will find the tenis ball from its colour ,,,then its will tarack...............

If its a fixed camera overlooking the tennis court, you can easily find it by taking a reference image and then differencing it with the live image. This will show up the players and the ball. Then you could find the ball using colour.
