Hello,

In peripheral embedded ip user guide, there are several IP , in which it is said:

"For your new (non Nios II) designs, Intel recommends you to..."

What is non Nios II ? Isn't NIOS II the latest ?

Thanks

If you do use Nios, use the IP in the embedded IP user guide. If you do not use Nios, use the IP linked to in the note for that IP.

The document is saying that if you are creating a design that does not use a Nios processor for control, you should use the different IP referenced.

Thanks, I am not sure I understand yet.

If I do use NIOS II processor, than the recommendation is not relevant ?

for example Intrel recomments the generic flash instead of generic quad , Is this recommendation not relevant for NIOS II ?

Thanks,
