Hello everyone,

I have an ethernet design which I got from internet with the outputs Ethernet_TDp, Ethernet_TDm. I thought the compatible pins for the outputs would be C1 and C2, but their I/O Standard is 1.4-V PCML which is not supported by default I/O Standard. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this isue?

As far as I know, if you are using the dedicated tranisceiver pins, the transmitter I/O standard is 1.5V PCML while the receiver supports multiple I/O standards including 1.4V PCML.

You can check out the I/O standards in the data sheet or the handbook (i forgot which one had it).

There is 1.5V for the voltage level of the data going down the ethernet cable?

I read the manual at altera.com/literature/manual/rm_civgx_trans_starter_board.pdf, the I/O Standard for ethernet is 2.5-V CMOS (page 5), and the I/O Standard for pin C1, C2 is 1.4-V PCML (page 21). I don't know to set them up.
