Hi Everybody,
I have another question.. I use EP3C25E144C8N fpga and EPCS16 in my project. it is about to be ready for selling into the market. i have made some security in communication but i still dont want the writings on these chips to be read easily. so i want to delete them with sandpaper before selling into the market. my doubt is, can this harm the chips? can a static electricity or something cause unintentional problems? Regards..Link Copied

I can see two potential problems: static electricity and vibration. But it shouldn't be a problem if done with care.
I don't really see the point though. With the size of the chips I think someone can guess the kind of components it is, and by fiddling around with the JTAGs lines, one could figure out the exact reference of the FPGA and flash...
