Does my RAID controller support RAID 5 expansion?

Hi,

I'm having an issue and I couldn't find an answer anywhere else.

I have an existing RAID 5 with 4 8TB discs.

Now I want to expand this RAID with a additional 8TB disc.

According to the internet, this should be theoretically be possible so I dug deeper and found the following link:

According to that link, it should be possible with "Intel® ICH10DO or Intel® PCH RAID controller hubs".

But I don't find the information if I have such a controller.

You have a 4th gen (Haswell) processor and a board that includes a 9 Series (Z97) chipset. Your RST support - which actually appears to be RSTe (i.e. Enterprise version of RST) - most definitely can support this (expansion) capability.
