I connect a SATA device, which support NCQ but only one queue(not 32 queues).
Before I installed iRST(Intel Rapid Storage Technology), host(PC) does not issue Read/Write FPDMA command to the device.
However after installing iRST, host(PC) issues Read/Write FPDMA coomand.
My question is
Who(or How) determines to issue Read/Write FPDMA command to such a device(only one queue support)?

Hello strv,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.
· Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
· Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
· To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
2. Provide RST report: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006351/technologies.html
3. Is this a Desktop/Laptop/Server computer?
4. What is the make and model of the system?
5. What is the Intel® RST Driver version installed on the system?
6. Do you have a RAID configuration? If so, which one?
7. What is the primary use of Intel RST on this system?
Regards,
Deivid A.

Hello strv,
Based on the reports looks like you have a storage device SVRC-C600SA, and I would like to gather more details. Please, help me with the following:
1. What does happen if you connect SSD/HDD directly to the computer?
2. Have you tried contacting the device manufacturer (SSD/HDD)?
3. Have you performed BIOS and/or firmware updates? If not, try to perform them.
Regards,
Deivid A.
