Hi,
I have vaio VPCEA16Fg. i wanted to update IRST driver but the installer says "platform not supported".
I have changed my harddisk drive to "Seagate SSHD 1 Tb" recently.
Now my Widows update does not work and after hours of research i have found the IRST driver updation seems to be the solution but Vaio service says no IRST driver update available.
I'm attaching DxDiag & msinfo output to this post. how can i update my driver?

Hello shekharpati,
If you want to try to install the Rapid storage technology, let me suggest that before installing the driver form Intel download center directly, that you first contact your system manufacturer. They typically should either provide software which is specifically configured for your system or let you know if this is essential to your system.
You can find the download for the RST driver here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24779/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-RAID-Driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24779/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-RAID-Driver

Hi,
thanks for responding. may be i haven't made my query clear. I already have RST installed (v 9.5.4.1001). i just want to update it. As for my system provider my laptop is more than 3 years old and my system manufacturer has all but stopped supporting it that's why i had to come here. i already tried installing it from the link provided but it says "platform not supported". What might be reason for that error? Can i manually update the inf file?
